Our Mission + Vision
Love in the name of Christ, Eastern Shore of Virginia or Love INC ESVA is one of more than a hundred Love INC locations across the United States and Kenya, who partner with over 7,800 Christian churches to serve hundreds of thousands of people in need.
Our local Love INC serves families who reside in the Eastern Shore of Virginia area or attend one of our Love INC partner churches. How? By mobilizing local churches to transform lives and communities In the Name of Christ. Here’s why that works:
Why do we need LoveINC in our community?
The needs in our community are complex. Churches, individuals, and community agencies operating independently of each other can fall short in meeting our community’s current and growing levels of need. When local churches work together and in partnership with other agencies, they can more effectively and efficiently meet multi-faceted needs and transform lives.
Does it work? Absolutely! LoveINC practices a model that has been developed and proven with over 45 years of experience in 110+ communities across 29 states, mobilizing 5,600 churches and helping over 20,000 volunteers find meaningful ways to show and share the love of Christ in their community this past year.
Without Love INC
Churches serve their communities in different ways. One area may have a financial literacy program, while another has housing assistance. Yet, when care is not coordinated, needs can be overlooked or duplicated, and people are not served in a holistic manner.
With Love INC
Love INC fosters collaboration and organizes holistic care to help churches serve their neighbors through resources and relationships. By networking churches together, each church is able to lean into their strengths, knowing that their neighbors will be cared for by the body of Christ within their community.

Who benefits from LoveINC?
- People in need receive coordinated help through a network of church and community services and resources.
- Individual volunteers involved in local church are given the opportunity to use their unique gifts and talents in specific, tangible and manageable ways to serve others.
- Local churches no longer working alone, churches partner together to serve the community as one Body of Christ.
- Community Agencies can expand their service capacity by referring people in need to LoveINC or by receiving referrals from LoveINC.
- The entirety of our community grows in unity and strength.
